DVMInsight, Inc.’s
Privacy Policies
We publish these policies so that you know how we collect and use certain information about you and your use of this website and our services.
Information Collection & Use
Registration
In order to use some of the services available through this website, you must first complete a registration form and create a user name and password. During registration you are required to give information including contact information such as name and email address. We use this information to identify you, send reports, and personalize the services that we provide you and to contact you about the services. We may also send you newsletters, but you can choose not to receive them.
DVM Insight Inc. is the sole owner of the information collected on this website.
Orders
When you purchase a product or service from us, we use a third-party service provider, and billing information you provide is subject that service provider’s practices and policies.
Uses of Information
In addition to the information you provide us, we collect aggregate, anonymous information about visits to the website through a third-party service provider. We use that information to better understand how people use our site.
Service-related Announcements
We will send you strictly service-related announcements when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)
We may share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners and advertisers. This information does not identify individual users.
Required Disclosures
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
Log Files
The web server computers that make our site available gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.
We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information. However IP addresses are tied to personally identifiable information to verify service accounts.
We use a third-party tracking service called Google Analytics that uses cookies and clear image files (also called clear Gifs or “web bugs”) to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our site in the aggregate. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We tie [do not tie] the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.
Links to Other Sites
This Web site contains links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.
This privacy statement applies only to information collected by this site.
Access to Personally Identifiable Information
If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete, or deactivate it by sending us an email or by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below.
Security
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
If you have any questions about security on our Web site, you can send email us at support@dvminsight.net
Business Transitions
If DVM Insight goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a part of its assets, your personally identifiable information will likely be among the assets transferred.
Changes in this Privacy Statement
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our home page.
